The Northern European Journal of Language Technology (NEJLT) is the journal of the Northern European Association for Language Technology (NEALT). The journal is hosted at Linköping University Electronic Press (LiU E-Press) under an Open Access policy.

NEJLT is the journal of NEALT, the Northern European Association of Language Technology, an organization covering the geographical area of the Nordic countries (Denmark including the Faroe Islands and Greenland, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Sweden), the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) and Northwest Russia. NEJLT is established to be a channel for the dissemination of research results in all areas of language technology and is not restricted to the geographical area of NEALT. The official language of NEJLT is English.

Language technology (LT) is the science and technology of processing natural language by computers. NEJLT primarily serves the R&D community in this area. Presentations and discussions of well founded and innovative theoretical and empirical approaches, as well as relevant evaluations and real life applications, are all suitable topics for articles in the journal.

NEALT also has three other publication series: monographs, proceedings and reports, from 2012 also published by LiU Epress. Before 2012 they were published at DSpace at Tartu University Library.
